I love to give my friends original one-of-a-kind gifts that I've designed and made myself or re-made into something freshly unique. When I don't design and make it entirely from scratch, I will often thrift or buy something on Ebay, remove its face with scissors or acetone and replace its face and/or clothes with something novel by sculpting and/or repainting the face and replacing the hair and clothing with something original that I have created myself.
Jackalope Bunny- my latest
Here is a collection of various creatures I've crafted in the past few years. I made the 'Milky White' puppet for a production of Into the Woods modeled in the style of the Broadway original. But generally I work off of my own design and inspiration.
I designed and made this "jackalope" bunny from a square of "fur" that I cut into shapes, dyed with coffee and sewed and stuffed. I used pink satin for the ears that I embroidered along with the nose. the tongue is felt and the antlers are sculpey.
